Modified the 08/07/21

Here is all the information you’ll need about the summer works on RER line C and Metro line 6 that might affect your trip to the Eiffel Tower, starting from 16 July.

Like each summer, there will be works on RER line C and Metro line 6. Here, you will find all the info regarding the changes and alternative routes to plan your trip to the Eiffel Tower without a hitch!

On RER C line

From 15 July to 21 August included, the Champ de Mars – Tour Eiffel station on RER C line will be closed. No trains will run between the Musée d’Orsay station and the stations of Pontoise, Versailles Château Rive-Gauche, and Saint-Quentin en Yvelines. Replacement buses will be available throughout the entire period of disruptions.

Check the RER C website for more details coming soon.

On RATP Metro line 6

From 26 June to 27 August included, two periods of works are scheduled for Metro line 6.

Line 6 from Montparnasse Bienvenüe will not stop at the Trocadéro and Bir-Hakeim stations from 26 June to 27 August included. A replacement bus with the same schedule and route as Metro line 6 will run throughout the entire period of works.

Line 6 from Charles de Gaulle – Etoile will still stop at Trocadéro, which will be the terminus, except from 20 to 25 July included. During these five days, the stations from Charles de Gaulle – Etoile to Montparnasse will be closed, so Metro line 6 will not stop at the Trocadéro station.

However, you can take the 22 or 30 buses, which stop at all stations from Charles de Gaulle – Etoile to Trocadéro.
