Summer 2019: disruption of access to the Eiffel Tower by metro and RER
Wednesday 12 June 2019
Modified the 12/06/19
Notice to our visitors in the summer of 2019: due to construction, access to the Tower by public transportation will be disrupted with shutdown periods on the RATP metro line No. 6 and on the RER line C, both serving the Eiffel Tower. Please adapt your routes according to these disruptions.
On line 6 of the RATP metro
From July 1st to September 1st, inclusive, traffic will be interrupted between the Montparnasse Bienvenüe and Trocadéro stations.
- The very busy station, Bir Hakeim, will remain in use by a replacement bus service .which will circulate between the stations of Montparnasse Bienvenüe and Trocadéro in both directions and at the same frequency as the metro.
Note that from August 15 to August 18, inclusive, traffic will also be interrupted between Trocadero and Charles de Gaulle.
Before any trip, check the RATP official website.
On the RER C line
Between July 15 and August 24, traffic will be interrupted between the Javel/Avenue Henri Martin and Austerlitz stations.
- The Champs de Mars - Eiffel Tower station will be closed during this period.
Our advice
- For our visitors coming from the north and west of Paris, we advise taking the metro line 9 (exit Trocadéro station) or the network of bus lines (42, 92, 82, 30, 80).
- For our visitors coming from the east and south of Paris, we advise taking the metro line 8 (exit at Ecole militaire station) or the network of bus lines (82, 72, 69, 80).
