A merry and bright Christmas at the Eiffel Tower in 2021

Thursday 16 December 2021

Modified the 24/12/21

For the end-of-year holiday season, the Eiffel Tower will be putting on its finest holiday regalia.

Starting on December 11, visitors can enjoy an oh-so-magical Christmas mood at the Eiffel Tower. On the program: gardens all lit up, Scandi-inspired winter terrace on the 1st floor, exclusive sweet and savory treats, and of course, Santa Claus!

Gardens full of enchanting lights

Come and take a stroll in our gardens before you start your ascent, or afterwards! Experience a magical moment amidst trees cloaked in blue lights and snowflake effects. What’s more, entry to the gardens and esplanade is completely free, so no need to have a ticket to enter and enjoy the lights.

A cozy break on the 1st floor

As is the tradition, the 1st floor terrace has been transformed for winter. This year, the transparent dome from 2019 is back to welcome you warmly. Featuring decor with lights, Scandi-style furniture and plenty of coziness, why not take a snug little break here? And foodies won’t be able to resist the mountain-inspired menu offered at the terrace bar, renamed the “Eiffel Tower Chalet” for the occasion. In terms of savory, there’s soups, sandwiches and home-made croque-monsieurs (with raclette cheese, Swiss-style dried beef, mushrooms and more). As for dessert or afternoon tea, treat yourself with a choice of crepes, waffles, mini choux buns, or apple or blueberry tarts. And the holiday spirit would be nothing without sweets for the little ones (and the big kids too!): marshmallow bears, gingerbread men and sugarcane lollipops.

Strike a pose

A photobooth inspired by winter sports resorts is set up on the outdoor terrace. Come and strike a pose on a vintage chairlift! For those who can’t stand the cold, another photobooth is installed in the Ferrié Pavilion, to create unforgettable photo souvenirs.

Santa Claus is coming to town

During the holiday period, Santa Claus will also be visiting the Tower! He will stroll around the 1st floor on December 11, 12, 15 and every day from December 18 to 24 before setting off on his (highly awaited!) round of gift-giving. On these dates, Santa Claus will be present from 10 am to 6 pm during the week and 10 am to 8 pm on the weekends.

A special Christmas kids’ tour

Come and pick up our booklet for kids, especially made for the end-of-year holidays. With Tom & Elia, the two little mascots from the kids’ tour, younger visitors can (re)discover the history of the Tower through the booklet’s games and riddles. It is available at the Ferrié Pavilion on the 1st floor, with a free pencil.
