Invader at the Eiffel Tower!

Open your eyes! The artist Invader is famous the world over for his mosaic artworks, inspired by 70s and 80s video games, and he has also popped by the Eiffel Tower for a little play. One of his pieces was installed on the monument in November 2019. The “space invader” has code name PA_1431, as it’s the 1,431st tiled artwork he’s placed in Paris.  And it’s worth... 100 points! 

This Invader at the pinnacle of the Eiffel Tower is well within reach, located on the outdoor platform on the top level that’s open to the public. All you need to do is look around a little and lift your gaze, after you’ve enjoyed the most beautiful view of Paris and the Seine, and Gustave Eiffel’s office.

 How to get to the top?

The top of the Eiffel Tower is accessible:

• with a “top floor lift access” ticket (which allows you to take the lift to the 2nd floor, then change lifts to go to the top):  available for pre-purchase on our website or at the ticket office on the day of your visit;
• with a “second floor stair and lift to the top” ticket (which allows you to climb the stairs to the 2nd floor, then take the lift from the 2nd floor to the top): only available at the monument’s ticket office.

This is not the first “invasion” of the Eiffel Tower. In November 1999, when the artist was first starting his career, another Invader (the now-defunct PA_234) adorned one of the Tower’s pillars for several years.
