For the 130th anniversary of the Eiffel Tower, an elegant book entitled "The Eiffel Tower – Timeless Monument" will be available in the Eiffel Tower gift shops as well as in regular bookstores starting October 10th.
This book offers a handsomely illustrated journey into the universe of the Eiffel Tower, from its construction up until today. The publisher is Editions de La Martinière. This original work compares images from the past and present to recount the technical challenges and the truly global aura of the edifice. You may read or glance through the book in both directions, since there are two ways to look at it!
Standing 330 meters tall, the Eiffel Tower is fascinating from all points of view, as its architectural and engineering feats remain unparalleled. It was built and opened to the public in 1889 for the World’s Fair. It was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991.
