Covid-19: The Eiffel Tower recognizes all the people who are mobilized

Every evening at 8 p.m. (until May 11th), the City of Paris and the Eiffel Tower pay homage to all the professionals who are mobilized to help us face this unprecedented global crisis, the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic: healthcare workers, policemen, gendarmes, firefighters, civil servants, first-aid workers, paramedics, soldiers, cashiers, garbage collectors, shopkeepers, delivery employees, volunteers, caregivers, associations and Parisians.

At 8 p.m., the Eiffel Tower sparkles for an extra 10 minutes, and the message "Merci" (Thank you) is displayed on the Eiffel Tower (Trocadéro side) as a tribute to the healthcare workers, policemen, gendarmes, firefighters, civil servants, first-aid workers, paramedics, soldiers, cashiers, garbage collectors, shopkeepers, delivery employees, volunteers, caregivers, associations and Parisians, who are mobilized against Covid-19.
Then, from 8:30 to 11:00 p.m., two alternating messages, in French and English, remind people to keep movements outside their homes to the bare minimum because confinement measures save lives: 
•  "Restez chez vous" 
•  "Stay at home"

These illuminations are displayed every evening, and are controlled remotely.
