This January, the Tower played host to several exciting events including a fun-filled International Hug Day, visits from some legendary NBA players and the children from the PSG Foundation, as well as a fascinating dance performance for the Chinese New Year.
International Hug Day
On January 21, the Eiffel Tower celebrated International Hug Day with its visitors. Lots of love and smiling faces were on the program thanks to our Eiffel Tour mascot who roamed the esplanade and the different floors distributing hugs to the young and old!

Visit by the children from the PSG Foundation
One of our greatest pleasures at the Eiffel Tower is the chance to offer children an unforgettable moment of complete and utter amazement. On January 22, we invited the 64 children from the École Rouge et Bleu at Mantes-La-Jolie, a part of the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation, for an exceptional visit. Under a beautiful blue sky, the children had a double treat: a tour of the Eiffel Tower and the chance to meet a famous guest, PSG player Thilo Kehrer!

NBA players come to the Eiffel Tower!
Before the 2020 NBA Paris Game (between two American teams, the Charlotte Hornets and the Milwaukee Bucks), which took place on January 24 at AccorHotels Arena, the Eiffel Tower had the pleasure of welcoming some legendary NBA players for a press conference in the Gustave Eiffel lounge on the first floor, on January 23. Bruce Bowen, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Ronny Turiaf and Tyrone Muggsy Bogues marveled at the view from the 1st floor of the Eiffel Tower.

Chinese New Year
To ring in the Lunar New Year, a troop of 16 dancers and acrobats astounded visitors to the Eiffel Tower on Saturday, January 25, with a special performance on the Eiffel Tower's esplanade!
