The Eiffel Tower Vertical

As more and more Trails with a vertical kilometer races and staircase races are appearing all around the world, the Eiffel Tower Operating Company and ECOTRAIL Organization are innovating by creating an ascent unique in the world, that of climbing a monument from the outside!

La Verticale de la Tour Eiffel, will be dedicated to climbing the monument: a 279 meters race from the ground floor to the top of the Eiffel Tower, and 1665 steps to climb!

This event will be held on Friday March 20th 2015 in the evening.

For the first running of this unique competition, the number of participants is limited.

Only 60 experienced athletes will be allowed to climb the stairs of the three levels of the famous landmark, which has not happened for over 100 years! 40 elites in staircase and Trail racing elected by a committee of experts and 20 unknown runners, will experience the race. Applicants must pre-register (10 €) before December 31, 2014 and provide evidence of their ability to meet this challenge (evidence of performance).
